PowerSeeker 60AZ Refractor with FREE EclipSmart Solar Filter

Manual Alt-Azimuth telescope

Navigate the sky with a pan handle Alt-Az control with clutch for smooth and accurate pointing. Move the clutch in an up/down, left/right fashion to track your object in the eyepiece.

Accessories Included

This kit comes with two eyepieces (20mm and 4mm), erect image diagonal, finderscope, a Barlow lens, and a free EclipSmart solar filter. The two eyepieces offer different magnifications to view your intended object. The 3x Barlow lens triples the magnifying power of each eyepiece. The erect image diagonal allows for right-side-up viewing ideal for terrestrial subjects but can also be used for celestial objects. The finderscope will help you quickly center an object in your eyepiece for easier observing.

EclipSmart Solar Filter

The Celestron EclipSmart solar filter is custom designed for the PowerSeeker 60AZ telescopes for viewing the Sun. Three safety screws securely hold the filter in place for a safe, snug fit. EclipSmart solar products feature Solar Safe filter technology—the ultimate protection from harmful solar radiation, including IR and UV light, plus 99.999% of visible light. Celestron Solar Safe filter technology is SAFE for direct observation of the Sun and has been independently tested to conform to and meet the transmission requirements of ISO 12312-2:2015(E), Filters for Direct Observation of the Sun, EN 1836:2005 + A1:2007 (E) for an E15 Filter for the Direct Observation of the Sun and AS/NZS 1338.1:2012, Filters for Eye Protectors.

Important safety note: Never look directly at the Sun with the naked eye or with an optic (unless you have the proper solar filter). Permanent and irreversible eye damage may result.
